I think Ron's constant coach speak comes from Ron being both coach and GM. Ron the coach has to talk about roster competitions and winning now, Ron the GM has to talk about roster building. That creates mixed messages. That's one of many reasons why I'm not a fan of one person being both HC and GM.

I wish some in the media would understand this. I love JP and his crew, but they get way too hung up on this. Like dude let it go, stop trying to nitpick every coach speak thing said by Ron.

Without the nitpicking they don't have a show so I get why they do it, but yea it gets old after awhile.

My take on Ron is that Ron the human being is neither a good coach or GM. I'm sure once the new owner cuts him loose he will find another job doing one or the other.

They call it coach speak, because that's how coaches talk - in general. He's not alone. They all do it at all levels. Speaking to the media is an obligation, but they are not obliged to give specific or even truthful answers. You get mixed messages and 'spinned' (spun) messages from coaches and GMs all the time. Ron's no different.

You at the Dallas Cowboys themed bar? If so, that's pretty awesome. But I'd get something in a bottle and not on tap if you want to avoid a little extra something.

Nah, it was just a normal bar right next to my gate. That airport is huge. It's like a city in itself.
