I'm putting this here although it is more related to the old argument than immediate name change one. I hadn't seen this before and found it useful when in that argument about the term Redskins. It does have ammunition for both sides.

Is there really a team name out there that is intimidating? I doubt any NFL player is scared of a Bear, Giant or Buccaneer logo
