Much cheaper and easier to revamp the uniforms vs a total rebrand. Could be a solid way to meet in the middle on all of this. Just my speculation. It’s not like the uniforms were well received either.

In the end I could really care less about what the team is called. Just win.

^ This. The name will likely never be what we all want so why abandon the team colors? Reconfig the design but burgundy and gold are gospel and should not ever be ditched.

To avoid controversy The D.C. Football Lakers colors will be purple and gold.

Not sure the Vikings would appreciate that. And the ant there a 5 year wait period between rebranding? I’d bet the owners/league would waive it as a “let’s wash the stink of Snyder” effort.

Keep the colors. Lose the Steelers and Gamecocks unis. Go with Wolves or Redwolves. Fight any trademark issues. Let’s go.

The 5 year wait period is essentially a myth or a rule that isn't followed or we'd still be WFT.

Except I thought it was understood that WFT was an interim name while they explored the rebrand (so I guess the league already made that exception). I don't think it's a myth -- I believe the rule is real enough, even if the enforcement isn't.

The 5 year rule is waived with new ownership - don't quote me on that but I swear I heard it somewhere in the last 4 days.
