60k signatures, lol. Also, lol, at thinking the name change had anything to do with how actual Native American's felt about the name, overall. The only votes that mattered were white liberals that think they're heroes for Native Americans and the small minority of Native Americans that didn't like the name. The one group that absolutely didn't matter (and the only one that should actually matter): The overwhelmingly wide majority of Native Americans that were indifferent of the name at worst or supportive of it. They simply didn't get it. White liberals and a small minority of Native American's know better.

That organization - NAGA - seems suspect to me. Where were they when everyone was raising hell about the name?

I agree with whoever said Harris needs to quash this. Maybe they're open to a change but Redskins is gone and it's not coming back.

Nah they actually are Native Americans or at least some are. 4 NAs Redskins fans approached me (was wearing Skins gear) that work at the Casino Del Sol and one of them said she joined that group. They were all pissed about the multiple name and logo changes that occurred in 2020 saying it was a bunch of white assholes saying what is good for them. That said NAGA do have/had a MAGA NA running their twitter who undermined their efforts.

Im aware. She is a nut bag. Also of all the things NA’s have to be pissed about it is the name of a football team? Something off about that.

Edit: did not mean to say there are no NA’s. I worded that poorly. What I meant is that it is being controlled by the far right. They are using NA’s to make it seem like the moral injustice is coming from the “woke” crowd. Again up is down and black is white.

Anyway probably straying into politics although I think that it is completely tied into all this. But, anyway, change the name. Commanders isn’t growing on me. I still cannot say it to friends or family. I just say Washington.

It was a surprise name change. They, along with the rest of us, thought that issue had been put to rest after the WP poll. The name change push peaked prior to poll and had declined in the years afterward and then bam we got blindsided by the little twerp changing the name.
