Re: Around the League Week 1
Boy -- the stud QBs of the AFC have not been great in week 1 -- Lamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, and Joe Borrow didn't play well this week. And over-hyped Pickett too. Give Tua props -- he lit it up, though.

But yeah Lamar looked rusty and terrible even though they won, Josh Allen just laid a turd on Monday Night, and Joe Burrow was just right down awful.

Lamar looked liked Lamar. This has always been his MO. He'll have 3-4 games with below QB play, and then blow up with a insane game. He's QB ratings will look like. GM1- 78.7 GM2- 87.7 GM3 - 82.3 GM4 - 115.7 (500 yards/4 TDs) (rinse/repeat) Look at this shit from just last year. Only 4 games out of 12 that were over 95 QBR. I would have NEVER signed him to that deal and would have traded him for 3 first rounders and more. I'm constantly boggled by how people continue to think this dude is a good QB. It's the same fucking arguments I had with Vick fans. Sure, he's fun to watch but he's not consistent enough. ![]() The 2021 stats are even worse.

Although, given this week, it looks like the AFC North is going to be a toss up, and all of their QBs looked meh. On a related side note: CJ Stroud looks good, I thought he played well for a rookie, against a top D. It is a shame he has no weapons, I think their best skill position player is Robert Woods. But he did a better job than Lamar in moving the ball, and had better stats. Also, looking at Bryce Young's #s, Stroud may be the better player (at least this week). Don't know how Anthony Richardson did (I know he got hurt).

Re: Around the League Week 1
Never seen more hype for 1 player going to 1 team in the NFL than Rodgers to Jets this offseason, and it lasted a few plays seemingly this year. Just crazy. Uh, if they they think Wilson can keep up with the rest of the AFC good luck. Give them props for pulling out the W tonight. Crazy and great punt return.

They fucked. NO doubt about it. If they can keep up the run game then maybe that strong D will carry them. Going to be interesting to see if Rodgers even comes back from this. I would hate to end my career like that but he is 39 and it is an Achilles tear.
