I would do that if true. Getting five years of productivity out of a first round pick and then turning it into a second is a solid deal.

I would hope the ownership, if the plan is to let go of the coaching staff at the end of the season, wouldn't allow the current FO to make the trade without ownership approval. If they do we might have bigger things to worry about with the new owners than we realize.

The key piece is will Sweat want to sign with us. He is a UFA so extending him is off the table. If they know he won't then take the 2nd of a comp 3rd. If he is open to resigning then hopefully they talk that out.
