I wish the guy well. Was he what we hoped he'd be? No. Did he show the kind of fire and desire to hone a craft that elite players show? No. When healthy, he was a decent player and had moments. We didn't exercise his option and got the value we thought we could. Bygones. I am sure he will be fired up when we play the 49ers later this season.
Sweat was more impactful for us and feels like a bigger loss, although the deal he struck seems rich and one I doubt we would have made at the end of the season. So again, we got some value for a guy that was probably not going to stay here anyway. Moving on.
