That would be sweet. I get that everybody in the NFL has tremendous respect for Rivera, I am honestly not sure why, I know he is a good man but he has been awful as a HC. What does giving him a few more days of having a job do for him? It's not like he isn't going to get paid out for the last year of his deal regardless. Fire him after the game and move on.

I have no idea if he pursues another HC job, but a lot of people feel like this is his last ever game as a HC.

I believe today is Ron's birthday (thought I heard that in news reports). If that is the case, I doubt they relieve him today. Most likely they do the "wait 24 hours" thing.

At this point it's clear he is gone so I am not as pressed about that announcement as the replacement search/hire.

In a way, I could see that. Who would want to be in his position a minute longer than necessary. But I expect that Harris will give him a professional goodbye, to continue setting the new standard of behavior for our club.
