I think we underestimate the advantage that older, and as such more mature and experienced players, have when playing in college against relatively much younger guys, especially at a key position like QB, and how good that makes them look in comparison. That advantage obviously disappears when entering the NFL.

True, but that wasn't my point. His age gives him an advantage in college which might make him look better than he otherwise would.
