Hard not for me to get all negative Nancy about Dotson and I am trying to rationalize it is only preseason but if he is going to take the next level and validate his draft position this was not a great first game.

I am finally getting around to watching the rest of the game. On the play that looked like he was held I backed it up and he simply slipped and once again failed to make a play.

On the screen to TM he didn't block well but the pass was a bit upfield which lead TM into the defender. The truth is of JD's 3 passes 2 of them were off target. The deep ball was perfect and I'm still totally in the tank for Jayden Daniels but he was off on those short passes and something to keep an eye on.

This is a huge year for him. I actually thought Olamide Zaccheaus and Kazmeir Allen looked pretty good. It'll be interesting to see how the receivers shake out this year.
