Re: Around the NFL Week 2
Does anyone else hate their stupid tush push as much as I do? It just doesn’t feel like football. Rather fitting that a team I hate is the culprit.

I don't like the tush push either. Seems almost like it shouldn't be in pro football. More like 8th grade football or something. Love the Monday night ending last night.

Still dumb. It's not a football play in my opinion. A play that is indefensible doesn't belong in the game. You can't stop 600 pounds of force with a yard's worth of momentum coming at you while you're standing still. The only way it doesn't work is if the QB slips or if there's a bad snap. I honestly don't understand why all 32 teams aren't doing it...since it is legal. |

Yes. I hate it almost as much as I hate the new kickoff rules.

Re: Around the NFL Week 2
It has been around as long as football has been played they just seem to utilize it way more than other teams. Typically I see it in goal line situations with QB sneaks etc.

Until they changed the assisting the runner rule the backs couldn't push the QB. I'm actually surprised it took so long for someone the come up with the tush push, given its nearly 20 years since the rule change. |
