Gotta admit, the draining the swamp mantra always made me laugh when Trump and company were and are generally exponentially swampier than what he is purportedly targeting.

It is an ugly quagmire. I am not calling it an oligarchy but the cabinet being filled with billionaires and media personalities is definitely out of the playbook.

Nonniey, you know Trump first campaign chair by Paul Manafort? Manafort and his lobby firm created the swamp. Manafort sent a lot of neocons in to the halls of power. But trump ran and won as an outsider. Much of the outrage of Hegseth, Oz, RFK jr…these guys aren’t sitting on lobby boards or corporate boards…the fear is the money will dry up.

And any criticism of Manafort by Democrats, sit the fuck down. They laid the framework for Podesta Group and many others liberal groups.

I'm absolutely opposed to pardoning the committee as that implies they broke laws

So you don't think trump will come after them anyway? We know they broke no laws but trump is a vindictive asshole

It would be a stupid move by Trump to come after them (so good to fair chance it will happen), but and let it play out. A pardon says that Trump was right and they were wrong when the evidence shows the opposite.
