Re: What's up with McCaffrey?

I hate to say this because I like the player's potential but IMO our fans are overrating him a touch. He was very effective in returning kicks, he sees the hole well. But I believed that was more the blocking, he certainly does not have the twitch, accelation or top end speed to ever be a threat as a returner. He may develop into a reliable receiver but that's still to be determined. IMO if this team wants to win a ring they will need weapons a bit above where I believe McCaffery will land.

He does have value and he could very well develop into a legit WR2. But I think that is still in question.

I think his consistent lack of separation prevent him from being a definite #2 but still wouldn't be shocked if ultimately gets that. Love everything else about him and with his work ethic and bloodlines, he definitely has talent and a lot of potential. His hands, route running, and toughness are top notch. Happy to have him on the team.

I noticed that too. He read the holes correctly, but doesn't look to have the second gear to take it to the house.

He runs a sub 4.5 40, he’s got enough speed
