I'm fine with cost cutting and saving money but they are slashing without thought of consequences. There are ways without disrupting the entire Government. This is being done stickily for revenge and Musk is lying as much as trump. It's like disciplining a child, you can punish them without beating them. Good legitimate good employees are losing jobs and when we find that out it will be too late. The cost of replacing them will be twice what they think they are saving and that new employee might not be as good becuase no one who know what to do was there to train them.

The State Department official said via email that the Biden administration "asked the Department of State to explore interest from private companies to produce armored electric vehicles." In response, the department released a public request for information on armored electric vehicles "to solicit interest" and "received interest from only one company at that time": Tesla, which responded on May 31, 2024.

The official said the next step in this process would be "an official solicitation," where vehicle manufacturers would bid for a contract. However, Trump's administration put the solicitation on hold and "there are no current plans to issue it."

When it comes to solving, implementing basic risk controls will not only save likely billions of future money spent, it will create efficiencies for the workers and the customers.
