If we’re going to get 3 more good years out of him, I think we’ll need to use him a little more carefully than SF, where they worked the hell out of him. His expected shelf life has been looking more like a RB’s than a WR’s. But just the threat of him opens up new playbook tricks for KK — doesn’t always have to be the ball carrier.

To be fair, they use Samuel as RB only whenever their RBs are injured, which happened often. Samuel did commented about how he doesn't like it when the team use him as RB due to the toll it takes on his body. I don't blame Kyle for using Samuel as RB simply because Samuel is good at it, but then I imagine this is one of the reasons why he wanted to leave the team.
