JD5's performance in my mind absolutely plays a part in how AP is building this team. I believe he is building an offense to rival the greatest offenses of all time, knowing if the game is on the line we are putting the ball in the offense's (JD5's) hand. In doing that, the defense's role is different then in Philly/NY where their qb's limit the offense and they are building dominant defenses.

I liken it to Mahomes first years as starter in KC. Their defenses did just enough to win, now their defense is leaned on a lot more.

I see these first 3 years as using draft as to conduct true team culture and base building by getting the best team athelete on their board regardless of team need and filling out the team with FA that fit the team concept and mold. After year 4 as JD5's $650M contract comes due, I believe we will see more attention to need through the draft with a lot less reliance on FAs.
