It's not that simple. The Republicans control the Senate and the rules of the Seanate. They changed to rules several times for Trump's appointments and for SCOTUS judges. They could change the rules for this too, but they want to use this as an excuse to blame Dems even though they control ALL the power.

The filibuster is in place as it’s been for years, that’s how the Democrats have shut down the government. The Filibuster is a check against the majority, that is a good thing.
