Re: Greenland Thread.

Looks like we moved towards a long term strategic deal with Denmark and the EU with Greenland. Seems like a win win moving forward. Denmark also signaled earlier this year they were going to spend substantially more beefing up Greenland with military and intelligence ops.

New framework:
Resource Control: A right of first refusal on rare earth minerals and other critical resources, giving the U.S. an economic advantage.

Enhanced Military Posture: A framework for increased U.S. military presence, potentially for missile defense (like the "Golden Dome" system) closer to Russia.

No Purchase, But Influence: Replaces the demand for outright purchase with a long-term "deal" that gives the U.S. significant strategic and economic sway in the Arctic region.

This goes way beyond the previous agreement, includes missile defense, I believe ownership of military base…but also mineral rights and first refusal of minerals.

Sec Bessent presented a very uncomfortable truth the other day with a chart tracking NATO defense spending vs other expenditures the EU chose.

Also Europe is still buying Russia energy 4 years later. What a disgraceful act and pathetic strategy. Utterly embarrassing. It’s absolutely indefensible at this point.

Trump’s Greenland ‘Deal’ Appears To Exist Only In His Head

https://news.yahoo.com/news/articles...appears-exist-
212653982.html

WASHINGTON – Despite “psychologically” needing to acquire Greenland, President Donald Trump Thursday headed back to the United States with just “the framework” of an agreement that appears to exist only in his own mind.

Yet Trump could barely begin his victory lap for his claimed achievement before it began falling apart. Rutte ― who notwithstanding his strategy of continually praising Trump to avoid conflicts felt the need Wednesday to publicly correct Trump’s false claim about NATO’s willingness to protect the United States if needed — said Greenland never even came up in his discussion with Trump.

Then, after the White House leaked a claim that the agreement would give the U.S. ownership of “small pockets of land” on Greenland for military purposes, the Danish prime minister announced that that was not true.

“We can negotiate all politically: security, investment, economy,” Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said in a statement Thursday. “But we can’t negotiate our sovereignty.”

She repeated that message speaking to reporters in Davos: “We have said from the very beginning that a discussion about our status as a sovereign state, it cannot be discussed.”

Bankruptcy is bad when it's literally anyone else.

All those times Trump went bankrupt he was really just playing 5d chess. He played the long con and look where he is today. He made approximately 1.4 billion dollars last year and you think he is some kind of bad businessman?
