To lump all immigrants, even those who came illegally, into a bucket of evil is simply wrong. Instead of rounding up people based on ethnicity, ICE and DHS should be focusing on the lawbreakers. And abidng by the laws themselves. But that is not what is happening. And killing US citizens that clearly are not acting in a life threatening method is not acceptable. ever.

If you do something illegal, aren't you a lawbreaker?

Are all law breakers handcuffed and sent to detention camps are their families deported. All of this without "Due Process"? You run a stop sign what happens I mean you broke the law, you drop a gum wrapper you broke the law, right? Many of the ones being taken have been good tax paying citizens here for years with jobs. So tell me their crime , wanting a better life for themselves and their families by being a good American citizen and doing what every other "good American does"........they at the least deserve due process.

Due process, particularly procedural due process, refers to the legal requirement that an individual must be given a fair and adequate legal procedure before being deprived of life, liberty, or property.

Supreme Court of the United States
plays a crucial role in interpreting and enforcing these principles, tracing their roots back to the Magna Carta of 1215, which established early concepts of lawful judgment. The Fifth Amendment, part of the Bill of Rights, and the Fourteenth Amendment extend these rights to protect individuals against actions by the federal and state governments, respectively.

The Court has determined that procedural due process encompasses key elements such as notice and the opportunity to be heard, ensuring that individuals have a fair chance to contest governmental actions that could affect their rights. It applies across various legal contexts, including criminal and civil proceedings, and addresses issues like the adjudication processes of lower courts and the treatment of individuals in mental health institutions. The Court's decisions emphasize the necessity of a neutral judge and the importance of safeguarding individual rights against arbitrary governmental actions. Through landmark cases, the Supreme Court continues to shape the understanding and application of due process in American law, reflecting a commitment to fairness and justice in legal proceedings.

If you commit a crime, you get arrested (handcuffed) and go to jail (detention center). Or at least you should.

I wish people that did litter and didn't pick up their dog's shit went to a detention center. Fuck those people.

I believe that due process is for American citizens. Also, if I broke into your home and stayed there, should I get to stay there until I have a court hearing and all of my appeals are completed? Of course not. You would want me removed immediately. Doesn't matter if I vacuumed and washed my plate after I was done eating.

If you come across the border illegally, you should be returned to your home country. Why was Joe Biden allowed to let millions of people flood our country illegally? But then Trump can't return them to their country? Democrat politicians are all for it because it gives them more power. More house seats now when they get counted for in the census and more votes later when democrats get what they are truly after, legal voting rights for all of them. If it was millions of conservatives from Poland crossing our border, democrats would build a wall to the moon as soon as possible and love enforcing border laws. It is a huge power play for rich democrats (and phony republicans) to get richer and to obtain power for themselves. They don't give one flying fuck about you or me.

Also, you can't claim to be for the lower and middle class and also be an open-border globalist.

Due Process cannot just be for citizens.

In your example: someone breaks into my home.

in your version as a citizen with due process:

my neighbor sees someone breaking into my house. It's me I forgot my keys. I explain this to the officer but my deed is in my safety deposit box. I am given a court date, show up with my deed and the court verifies my documents(due process ) I go home a free and safe person

in your example a citizen with ICE version of due process:
my neighbor sees someone breaking into my house. It's me I forgot my keys. ICE immediately arrests me and sends me to the colorado supermax. i object the whole way saying it's my house, but am not given the opportunity to show the deed,(no due process) and once in Colorado I have no access to my safety deposit box so i can't prove it.

in your example with a non citizen with normal due process
my neighbor reports a breakin at my house. the police arrive and the man claims he has the right to be there but his identity can't be verified. They detain him and he has a fast court date where a judge says he did NOT have the right to be there (due process) and he is sent, appropriately to the maryland jail system.

Your examples are so infrequent and absurd, I can't answer all of these. You're making up random stories to justify your position.

i took your example and put it in context of ICE and due process. They were metaphors because you said the following:
Quote:

Obviously that is more infrequent than any of my metaphors.

Bottomline - due process is what allows a citizen to prove they are entitled to the rest of the protections given only to citizens. It is the gatekeeping mechanism that checks everyone so no one that is eligible to enjoy our constitutional protections gets denied them. That's the point I was trying to make with my post, sorry if it wasn't conveyel clearly.
