All together, that's 20 generals and admirals he's gotten rid of. Holy fuck we're a dumb ass nation.
The reason he fired GEN George was because George refused to support the withdrawal of four COLs off the BG list. The COLs were two women and two black men who had great records.

Retired Army general says US may need ‘Nuremberg’ like trials for Trump’s ‘illegal orders’ in Iran war

A retired U.S. Army General has warned that Donald Trump’s actions in the war with Iran may lead to serious consequences for the president and all those who follow his “illegal” orders.

“I’m old enough to remember the Nuremberg trials and how we’ve held the Germans accountable after… the atrocities they committed during World War II,” Brigadier General Steve Anderson told CNN Tuesday.

“And I’d hate to think… five, 10 years from now, we’d be doing the same kind of thing with American soldiers and leaders that made decisions that were being directed by the president of the United States that are illegal.”

Yep, it is a savvy move on his part. Plus, religion can be a powerful tool if an individual know how to harness it (whether it's with good or bad intentions) and obviously Trump does.

Trashing the Pope and posting an image of himself as Jesus Christ most definitely did not play well with his Catholic Conservatives.

If they were still on board with him up until this point I doubt anything is going to make them flip
