If Conerly can make a leap, which should be expected his 2nd year, this offense has a chance to be really good (with a healthy Jayden).

The secondary is my main concern. Outside of Amos, not really excited about that group. Definitely glad we added a bunch of pass rushers and 2 LBs that can also blitz.

Here we are a year later and I expect the same thing this year from Diggs. If he can stay healthy he'll get around 600 to 700 yards. I have no doubt that you can get that with one of the guys we have. Will Diggs be happy with getting a few balls a week?

I'm not against the signing btw. I'm just not really for it.
isnt that the meaning of against ?

Re: Multiple sources: Washington is signing WR Stefon Diggs

Please don't compare a traditional WR like Diggs to Deebo.

Deebo right now is a situational WR/RB/kickoff returner.
Almost everyone agrees he is non-typical, more of a gadget guy who is good with the ball in his hands.

Diggs can legitimately play X, Y, Z

1. Diggs legitimately can threaten coverage away from Terry
2. Diggs can replace Terry if injured

Even if they yards could be replaced by others, they CANNOT do the above two points.

If you think anyone on this team can effectively step in if Terry goes down, just look at last two years, from 12-5 to 5-12. Even Deebo couldn't do this, although he did the best he could. Lots of our "others" have a track record over the last 2 years, either averaging 1 catch a game, or not trusted to even hit the field.

So if you think we were "good" as is, you are smoking something good.

The NFL has decided Diggs is far better than Deebo 12M vs 7M.
Math says the league says Diggs is 71% more valuable than Deebo.
They are RADICALLY different players, almost like they play a completely different position.
Not apples and oranges.

We still need a deep theat to emerge, I would Lane to take that from Dyami Brown to save a roster spot. They both can fly and drop passes, so, yeah.

I have always liked Diggs, even when he was playing for the Terps. Wished we had someone drafted him.

He's a little temperamental but so are a lot of wr's. You can't have all choir boys on your team. He still works hard and keeps himself in great shape. Our wr's depth is way better than last year.

I guess what I was trying to say is I'm just 50/50. We have tried these types of signings and had so so results.

But I'm glad he's here. He makes the room better. He makes the team better IF he can sustain his level of play of last year. Plus there is no draft pick compensation.

I didn't compare the two as players. I prefer Diggs as a pure wr. I just compared the analytics of wr's dropping off at 30. We saw Terry last year play 10 games, get hurt and have under 600 yards and 38 catches. Debo had around 700 yards.

Diggs was the exception to the rule and having a pretty damn good year.

Fair point!

I still prefer signing a probowler coming off 1000 yards at 32 vs a bunch of potential 1 catch a game guys as your insurance plan to Terry

Some people just need a booster shot of positivity. It's camp season, if you can't be positive now, when can you be.
