So he doesn't have a cannon arm. Neither does Tom Brady, Brad Johnson, Drew Brees, Eli Manning, Matt Hasselbeck, etc. Since when has arm strength had anything to do with the success of a quarterback in the NFL? Ask Mike Vick and Patrick Ramsey what their cannon arms have gotten them lately.
