Re: Around the league Week 5

If we can manage a win, we will be the only NGCE team winning this week now that the Eagles shat themselves.

Bad loss for Atlanta last night with Tua throwing a rough pick and Falcons blowing a late lead. Penix got hurt as usual. Great game tonight with Bills v. Rams.

Tonight could be a Superbowl preview, actually.

Bills win a great game in OT 37-34 in LA. Heckuva game and cherry on top of a wild NFL weekend. Rams had a great chance to win in OT but couldn't make a field goal. Josh Allen is a stud (duh).

Maybe but doubtful Rams get there unless they win their division. Rams won’t make it there as a wild card and they are 3 games back, plus already losing once to San Francisco.

Perhaps but I could see them going on a tear once Garrett is back. I fear that he and Donald are going to be together for the first time against us. If so, we should start Kaliakmanis (only half kidding).

Crazy about the Rams is they still have the best odds (tied or just behind SF) to win the Super Bowl despite their 2-3 record.

Re: Around the league Week 5

I'm listening to the Kevin Sheehan podcast from yesterday and Thom Loverro just had a great line. John Harbaugh must be thinking he's been placed in the remedial class when you look at the other coaches in the NFC east

Imagine though if we had won, Harbaugh would have been answering for Skattebo’s fumble and why he didn’t take 3 knees and line up for a FG.

100% accurate. In fact, Harbaugh arguably made the bigger fuckup. All he had to do was kick the FG from our 24 yard line -- closer than we were to their end zone on our disaster of a play -- and he instead elected to give the ball to Skattebo. We should never have had the chance to go down the field (and ultimately soil ourselves).

Far from thinking he's in a remedial class, Harbaugh is right at home in our disaster of a division. Ask Ravens fans about how sad they are he's gone -- they're not. Here's their history getting to the AFC Championship game:

Ravens All-Time AFC Championship History
• January 28, 2024: Lost to Kansas City Chiefs (10–17)
• January 20, 2013: Defeated New England Patriots (28–13)
• January 22, 2012: Lost to New England Patriots (20–23)
• January 18, 2009: Lost to Pittsburgh Steelers (14–23)
• January 14, 2001: Defeated Oakland Raiders (16–3)

Harbaugh is 1-4 in those games (and the last time he won one was 2013); Billick was the coach in 2001.

He was definitely let off the hook... taking the 3 knees was the obvious call. I also thought he made some very questionable calls in game as well.

We should have never been in that position. The interception that was reversed by the bs pass interference totally changed the game. Confidently feel that we would have won the game had the call never been made. Huge swing that screwed us resulting in a Giants td.

Oh for sure, that PI call was ticky tack as all hell
