Re: Playoff Game Thread: Skins @ Bucs 1.7.06
Wow, it sure wasn't pretty offensively on either side but you know what?
All that matters this time of year is the 'W'. |

And, man, what a defense! Washington is a beast. And Arrington was a presence. As was Griffin. And Daniels. Wow. How can you say enough about this D? They score 14 points and actually preserve a lead through the whole 2nd half. With corners injured and Taylor out. Wow. I am so impressed by the heart they showed and just how much they wanted this game.

Re: Playoff Game Thread: Skins @ Bucs 1.7.06
OK, I know there are opposing views on Arrington, but 10 tackles, 1 FF, 1FR, 1 INT. You tell me this guy doesn't want to play for this team? If he can get his head together and get on the coaches good side, he'll be a Skin next year. I'd almost go so far as to say he's back in Pro Bowl form.
Ugly game and Brunell needs his head examined for that INT. Frost needs his foot examined for that shank. Most of all Taylor needs his mouth taping up next week! But all in all, Skins football on D and barely enough on O to do the job. We can win in Seattle, but it will be very tough. Right now I'm savouring the win and loving the feeling. GO SKINS!!!! |

While I didn't like the throw by Brunell, Jacobs has to go after that ball more aggressively.
That was a piss poor effort on his part. |

Re: Playoff Game Thread: Skins @ Bucs 1.7.06
The entire offense played like crap - no sense in trying to sort it out. Of course, we'll try anyway...
We all know Jacobs isn't a NFL-tier receiver, but let's call a spade a spade here - that INT was 99% Brunell's fault. As Joey said, you don't throw back across the field - doesn't matter how "open" the receiver looks, because he isn't. |

At this stage of the season, I don't care how we win. Just win baby! The offensive issues need to be addressed, but I'll take 3 more just like this one.
