I also can't hate on Champ. It's not like he phoned it in when he was wearing the Burgundy and Gold. He played hard, all the time, and the Champ-Portis deal, I think, was one of the few in modern NFL trade memory where I believe neither team got screwed in the long haul. It was good for Champ, good for Clinton (maybe not as good for his shoulders), and great for both teams.

I have no ill will towards Champ Bailey at all. Which is less than I can say for someone like Antonio Pierce, who was made a star by Gregg Williams and bolted as soon as the G-Strings jingled a couple of coins in his face.
