I'm all 4 honoring your heritage, but when it comes down to representing the country you were born and raised in and in which you make an extremely comfortable living and your parents or parents' parents homeland, the choice should be pretty easy or atleast for me personally it would be.

We may not know everything there is to know about that. Maybe he wasn't brought up to think of himself as an American. He said he didn't want to disrepect either sides of his heritage. Well, if you really look at it, there's only one side to his heritage.

And why does he take the brunt of this? Piazza is playing for Italy. Where's the hate for him? I'm pretty sure he was born and raised here too. As for people making their living here, well, that would be every major leaguer, so that doesn't really apply.

I'm not trying to start an arguement, I think the whole A Rod thing was a circus, but I think we don't know everything there is to know about it.

I'm a big baseball fan, yet for some reason I haven't been getting excited at all about this World Baseball Classic.

I'm probably the only person though who's excited about the Winter Olympics.

I think it's retarded he's playing for italy but in his case he's probably doing for the fact that italy doesn't have anyone else while the south american and caribbean countries have a whole lot of MLB representation. I think the whole thing is pretty stupid and I only watch one baseball team anyway so I doubt I'll be watching this.
