Apparently it helped! Even Ramsey himself said that watching Brunell this year taught him [Ramsey] alot about checking down and knowing when to scramble and when not to. We saw a bit of that when Ramsey came in against the Giants.

Now, are you going to argue with Ramsey?

Please define "interception machine". Ramsey has 34 TD's and 29 picks for his career. That's a better ratio than Jake Plummer, Joey Harrington, David Carr, Eli Manning, Kyle Boller, Rex Grossman, Kyle Orton, and plenty of other quarterbacks that have seem game time this season. And at least five of Ramsey's picks came in games that he wasn't even starting, where Spurrier just had him come in to throw a hail mary.

I also think calling him "Rat Pansy" is a bit out of line. He took shots in Spurriers offense, like he was the opposing defense's personal punching bag, and kept getting up.

Why is stating facts hating? It's ok to hate on Ramsey and LaVar, but god forbid someone make a disparaging remark about Brunell. As I said before, I was happy with Brunells' season overall, but he had a few piss pour performances. For instance:

The Arizona game: 18 of 28, 122yds, 0 TD's/3 INT's, and a 34.2 rating

The 2nd Philly game: 9 of 24, 141yds, 1 TD's/1 INT, and a 52.2 rating

The Wild Card game: 7 of 15, 41yds, 0 TD's/ 1 INT, and a 25.7 rating

There's three games that I would say Washington won, in spite of Mark Brunell. And if anyone remembers the first Seattle game, Brunell threw a pick deep in Redskins territory, that would've cost Washington that game if Josh Brown doesn't hit the upright.

You pointed out 3 poor games, I'm not denying he had some poor outings, but overall he had more good games than poor ones.

I don't have a problem with someone saying he had some poor outings, he definitely did, but what I do have a problem with is someone who discounts what he did over the course of the entire year and giving him no credit at all.

Pay attention, I already posted that statement, and just for the record Ramsey also said he would see things happen out there that he knew, but seeing Brunell do it hepled to confirm it in his own mind, not exactly the ringing endorsement that he couldn't have gotten it right on his own.

Nobody ever argued that Patrick Ramsey didn't know, at least in theory, what to do in certain situations. However, what I have been saying all along is watching a veteran quarterback leading the team can only benefit the younger quarterbacks. They learn AND confirm by seeing it in live situations on the field. They are there on the sidelines listening to the terminology and the coaching aspect of things, and getting the benefit of seeing it executed on the field. That is why I have been saying all along that because of the decision to let Brunell play this year, it has benefited BOTH Patrick Ramsey and Jason Campbell. It will help to make either quarterback a smarter and better quarterback rather than to throw them on the field and tell them to figure it out. Some guys can thrive like that, others need to be brought up slowly. This is a good decision by Joe Gibbs and it's one that I support fully. I also believe because of this decision, we were able to have a 10 game winning season and make the playoffs. Not many people expected this out of the Redskins this year, and every player, INCLUDING Mark Brunell, deserves credit. IF Patrick Ramsey was the guy this year, and he lead us to the same type of year OR better, then I would have given Ramsey just as much credit.

I am. It's always exciting to see the unknown.
