Expectations for a #2 guy

a good no. 2 should be a guy that creates enough space to consistently move the chains when we need a first.

i think the #2 will be cooley as the H-back position. The second wr just has to catch and get yards after the catch on a regular basis. I don't care who it is.

Who will be throwing the ball does not matter.

Our expectations for a number 2 should be that he threaten a defense enough that they cannot exclusively try to shut down Moss. We have a deep threat in Moss, and a mid threat with Cooley. If our 2 can just do enough to get respect from the opposing defense, it will make the offense better.

Maybe asking "Who will be calling/designing the plays?" would make more of a difference.

Our 2# receiver should contribute more yards and TD's than Cooley which is asking a lot, but that's why he gets paid the big buck. If the Steelers have to lose the Superbowl and release Antwaan Randle-El, I'm pulling for the Seahawks. He would fit perfectly in our offense with a former AFC coordinator.

KR or Kevin Curtis would be the top choicess for me for price/performance still... 700yards would be nice. 400-500 is really pretty subpar for a #2.

I don't see where this thread is any different than any other ones we've got going on the forum.

Really? Asking a question about the production of a WR we don't even have yet, who is going to be catching passes from who we are not sure yet, with a brand new O-coordiantor who is not familar with our personel, let alone personel we don't even have yet, is not reaching just a tad?

This is a Redskins discussion site and it is the off season. Just about everything we discuss is going to be hypothetical and conjecture. My expectations for our #2 receiver would be 600-700yds 4-5tds which would make teams recognize him instead of having Moss double even triple teamed,and I also would like to see are #2 have a wildcard skill such as kr/pr. As for Patten I think he will be a very productive #3 receiver and I expect Patten to have around 450yds in 2006. Cooley will obviously be our possesion receiver and I expect another great year from him. So I think with Moss, #2 (hoping its Randle El), Patten, and Cooley our passing game will be in the top 10 in the NFL.

Couldn't leave well enough alone aaaa, Now I am going to answer this question!

I think we can expect with our new O-coor, some where around 20 TD's and defiently over 1000 yards recieving, he will also be great after the catch, and used on a lot of reverses as well. By mid season he will in all liklyhood replace Moss as our #1 WR, but Gibbs will still insist that Moss is #1 so he will never get that status he deserves. But I am really looking forward to watching him perform he will have us all on the edge of our seats week in and week out, I can hardly wait!!!!!! :headbange
