Re: Musgrave Moving On?
I'm pretty sure KC used the shotgun though.

Re: Musgrave Moving On?
Musgrave definitely helped, as Brunell played much better this year than last. But still having a qb coach who is more in tune with Saunders/Gibbs' offense should help, and his son is probably as good as anyone to teach what Saunders' wants the qbs to do.
All I needed to know about KC's offense is that Indy has scored 27 points a game for the last four years and finished #2 to KC over that time period. Add in a stint shaping the greatest show on turf and Saunders is our guy. Last edited by memphisskin; 01-24-2006 at 12:46 PM. |

Re: Musgrave Moving On?
Good riddins, no big lose, it's not like we some kind of elite offense or anything, what has this guy's coaching abilities really done for us?

From 31st in points to 13th? Got Jack Burns "promoted" to Special Offfensive Assistant (or some such nonsense)?

KC did use the Shotgun formation ( I remember watching KC play a few times this year other than the Redskins game,) but it wasn't an automatic assumption everytime KC got into a 3rd and long situation. I like the idea of using it sparingly. I believe making it an automatic thing on long yardage downs tends to make it easier to stop.
