Herb Mul-Key, wow, I remember him. He was a great kick return man.
Mike Nelms and Brain Mitchell continued the tradition of great Redskins return men and great special teams play. We seemed to lose that tradition after Gibbs left in 1993.
Herb Mul-Key's early 70's team is when I became a Redskins fan as a small kid...or at least my earliest memories of being a Redskins fan.
I think that is why I am partial to that years uniforms and helmet. Even though most fans find the yellow pants the most unattractive of all, I like them.
Charlie Haraway, Jerry Smith, Pat Fischer, Larry Brown, Sonny and Billy, Diron Talbert...etc. Man, that team was good and had a lot of characters on it.
