Re: Recent League Salary Cap Cuts
Isn't it the case that there will be more veteran FA's than teams able to sign them. It's going to be a Soviet style purge of borderline veterans. How many players can Green Bay, Arizona, and Cleveland sign? Upshaw should watch his back.

Re: Recent League Salary Cap Cuts
They got to be talking a bit or else teams would have released more players by now. I know the odds are probably slim and none with slim just leaving but maybe there will be a chance.

Re: Recent League Salary Cap Cuts
A lot of players will voluntarily sit out this year to get some of that uncapped goodness to come.
I just heard Upshaw on Sirius saying 'There will be football in 2006 and there will be football in 2007 but after that I can't say what will happen. I can guaruntee you one thing, there will be no salary cap'. Can you say 'Happy days are here again!' Barring a strike, we will end up on top when all is said and done! Imagine how bad people will hate Mr. Danny 'Deep Pockets' Snyder when they have to see his smarmy face as he holds up the Lombardi Trophy year after year.................I can't wait.

ESPN earlier reported Kerry Collins was released. ESPN is now saying that he hasn't so that has been updated.
