he really isn't. not at the LG position. 20/32 is below average and believe or not every team has starters that are below average. not every player we have is automatically above average just cause they wear a skins uniform.

I read, heard and saw coaches say that he did a very nice job in 05. Yes is he Randy Thomas no. But he isn't below average! Now below average is the Skins #2 WR spot!!!!

who's he better than?

Faneca
Hutchinson
Waters
Wahle
Allen
Steinbech
Kendall
Fonoti
Andruzzi
Hamilton
Manuwai
Mulitalo
DeMulling
Piller
Brown
Jacox
Stincomb

we're already at below average and there's more left to go. plus 3-4 rookies could be better than him by next year. He runs a 5.6 40 and that's terribly slow even for an OL guy. we'll be able to pick up an even heavier guy than runs 5.3 in the 2nd round if we want.

Running time mean nothing if you are getting the job done! As for all these guys you listed what makes them better and what is the way that you can tell me that they are better? It's like saying S.Moss isn't better then joe Blow. With WR here you can use 40 times and stats to show he is better. With line men coaches grade thier games and they know who isn't getting the job done. Gibbs in a season ending interview said Doc came along way and was as I remember very high on his 05 play! If not true why would he say that???

look, i mentioned the 40 time cause its relevent when we're talking about joe gibbs and pulling guards, i'm nto making a list and deciding talent on 40 times though :P

I'm not saying he needs to be replaced, but talent wise, he is NOT in the top 16 in the league at the LG position. You can tell by watching other teams and seeing how many times guys blow by their guards or how useful they are at getting downfield to block on running plays. Watching brian waters or hutchinson of KC and seattle. Very rarely do people get by them and get sacks/stuffs, and both are very good at running down and being invovled in plays beyond the line of scrimmage when running.

I hear what you are saying and said many of the same things about Chris Samuels after the 04 season! But I also saw great improvement in 05! Was he a pro bowler I don't know. If he was then LT spot in the NFC must be thin! One thing I did see from the line was that they work together much better and Thomas along with Jansen had very nice years. You also say Rabach was a big reason for all thier turn around in 05!!!

Re: Dockery signs qualifying offer

I'm comfortable with Doc's performance last year. Sure , he is slow, but he hasn't been injury prone and he doesn't seem to make any more mistakes than the rest of the guys. I thought he was excellent in pass pro. After seeing Raymer against the Seahwaks, they obviously need depth but I don't know if I would use the second pick. I suppose it would depend on who was available.

yeah, they do work well together. The difference between raymer and rabach is CRAZY though. raymer was beyond terrible. he's a turnstile... and a weak one.

and doc is definately big. but even bigger and faster OGs are available this year, and would definately be worth at least considering if they're there during our pick. We need the depth if nothing else.
