You can't go wrong with Riggins. I like the idea of a Dave Butz jersey, back when weighing 300 pounds really meant something. That might have to be my next investment... in 2009, when this CBA and revenue sharing nonsense is gone and we can get back to playing (and watching) football again.

It sounds to me like we may be entering some crazy alternate universe where wearing on of those personalized jerseys with your own name on the back is cool. Just the thought of that makes me want to grow a mullet.

Re: WARNING TO YOUNG SKINS FANS: Only buy old school
I am with you on this. I use to wear Steven Davis, then Champ, and now LaVar. I am in the process of getting a Cooley authentic, so I'll give it one more try. But I am definately going to invest in an old school of someone.
I have to say this : I will proadly wear my #56 Lavar jersey every now and then. He will always be a Redskin in my eyes. I have a feeling that we will see ALOT of #56 jerseys on Sundays!! I think we should wear them on opening day next season. |

Re: WARNING TO YOUNG SKINS FANS: Only buy old school
I gave up on authentic jerseys a long time ago. Now I buy replica jerseys on sale(these are usually the one nobody else wants). I bought a Brunnell replica last year for $25 while he was still a backup. Before the first half ended I had a starting QB jersey.

![]() I'm not sure who I'm going to get, but I'm seriously starting to lean toward an old-timer. However, like a couple of others in this thread, I might give one of the new guys one more chance. Maybe Washington. Worse comes to worst, it will always say "Washington" on the back...

If I were a young Redskin fan I would wear a burgungy sweater vest with Indian Head Logo and matching pledge beanie.

Warning to young Redskins fans: when you start to get into girls, demand that there be mandatory jersey only sleeping apparel.

Look.. about 5 years ago at the stadium on game day, I would walk into the packed pisser and there would be maybe 10 guys wearin jersey's.. it was cool, hip, hot, progressive, AVANT-GARDE! But now ....its soooo BEAT! I walk into the pisser and I look around and I scratch my head.. everyone is in uniform.. its kinda lame. I now go to the game in "my own" battle gear, usually consisting of general Redskin regalia and color tones. I still have a Gus Frerotte, Darrell Green, and a Patrick Ramsey jersey.. Of course the Darrell Green jersey is gold forever, but the other two just look ridiculous to wear now. However, I understand that some fans absolutely have to wear a jersey. For those people I say get a customized or throw back number.. why get burnt every year.. its stupid. Save more money for those $7 snyder beers! THE DAY OF THE JERSEY IS OVER NO LIFE 'TILL LEATHER!! <jk> Love, Peace and Hairgrease! |
