Yeah, I saw that too Wolfskins. I think that interview puts him comments into context and shows that Patten is a good duy. But, I think there's a reasonable basis to criticize Patten, even if one disagrees with the criticism.

I brought this up as soon as I read the article (which I also brought to the moderators attention). He had no reason to add any color. He is probably mad because he knows he is going to be an overpriced #3 in about 48 hours.

I didn't like his comments during the playoffs either. He should just shut up since he should be making the league minimum.

I don't believe I'll get all in a twist over those comments. I am thinking of sending a Thank You note to the players who did restructure. Manners have really taken a beating in the information age and I aim to do something about it.

I read Patten's quote in the Post earlier today, and while it seemed possibly a little selfish, I'm not too worried about it. If I personally had the privilege of being with the Redskins, I'd restructure to help the team, but if I was on any other team, I can't say I'd volunteer to restructure. It's not like Patten has been a 'Skins fan since he was a kid, so I don't blame his feelings on the matter. From all I've heard about him, he's a real standup kind of guy, so I wouldn't worry too much Malcolm.

i dont think malcolm is worried judging by his last comment. i know hes a stand up guy and ill just chalk it up to joking around.
