you could get by if you had peyton or a healthy daunte, but you know... brad johnson doesn't exactly inspire safeties to set themselves deep.

I think childress is just going to run a west coast, short pass, clock chewing offense and depend on his defense to keep them in contention.

taylor's receiving stats: 41 catches for 292 yards

it makes more sense when you think of him as more of a west coast pass catching RB. that's what they did with westbrook.



He's basically trying to create the eagles, part 2. He's already being stingy on player contracts (don't pay daunte, dont' pay williams, get some 2nd rate guys), overspending on a WR with a bad track record, betting on an RB because of his hands instead of his running ability, and depending heavily on defense and passing while ignoring the need to run.

In that view, their moves don't seem completely retarded, but it'll probably take more than 1 year to rebuild and find a new QB. BJ is good, and the cast is alright, but there's some big holes that the draft isn't going to fill (WR if KR isn't a monster, future QB, etc).
