Jeff Mitchell will be at Redskin Park
The starting center of the Pathers will be in this week to sure up maybe the OL. Mitchell has be in the league eight years and is 6-4,300. I do not think he has played anything other then center in the pro's. Maybe he did in college? Dose anyone know? The Washinton Times is reporting this.

Re: Jeff Mitchell will be at Redskin Park
weird, i guess we're going LB/CB/DT in the draft if he signs then... pretty sure he'd be the backup and not the starter here.

Re: Jeff Mitchell will be at Redskin Park
i think c rabach has some flexibility to move around in case of injury, that way we dont have to suffer thru raymer trying to play guard again

Re: Jeff Mitchell will be at Redskin Park
maybe jeff mitchell would replace doc at LG? he's a 91 in madden... and andre carter moved back to DE is a 93... and arch is a 90, and fauria is an 86. man, we'll sure be good in madden 2007 at this rate. CBs still get burnt deep though :/

Re: Jeff Mitchell will be at Redskin Park
Rabach can move around in case of an injury. If he gets injured, then Mitchell would just take over at center anyway. I don't know much about this guy but I'm glad to see they addressing the OL.

If he can play LG effectively doc might be moving to the bench.

Mitchell used to be a guard for Baltimore, he was once considered an above average to good lineman. Don't know much about him recently.

i believe he can also play guard.. he fits a need perfectly. a versatile, experienced inside player. upside over both friedman and raymer from last year.. |

Re: Jeff Mitchell will be at Redskin Park
I hate seeing us give up on Dockery. Just like we are giving up on Clark. Hopefully this guy is for depth.
I know we didn't draft Clark, but we made him, and I'm getting tired of this team not giving their home grown players a chance. Its always lets bring in the free agent from behind door number 1. Then everyone runs around all happy like we hit the lottery and couldn't care less that we keep handing out these huge contracts. I know the cap has never come back to bite us in the big one. BUT this year was the year that the wheels would have fallen off of the wagon. THANK GOD the CBA got done. If not, you and I both know we would have lost someone else on this team that we didn't want to lose. I applaud the Lloyd deal. That is a good value for the draft picks we gave up. Randel-El doesn't seem like he is worth all that money to return kicks/punts, catch <50 balls and throw a few passes on trick plays. I love these guys' abilities, and they are great players, just over paid.

Re: Jeff Mitchell will be at Redskin Park
We're definitely not replacing Dockery, we already tendered him at the highest rate so if someone signs him away we would get a #1 pick. You typically don't do that with a guy you want to replace.
Mitchell would provide us with a quality reserve lineman. |
