Dockery may be a question mark - or he may not. While not our best O-lineman, he would start for most teams, he's young and cheap(-ish), and might end up getting better. There is mathematically no chance of Larry Allen improving as an offensive lineman, which means we'd be paying for declining results at the expense of an improving player. The answer is no.

If Larry Allen was to take a minimum salary here (which seems to be part of the dream), why wouldn't he take a minimum salary with the team where his family lives, he's going to get his number retired, and where he probably hasn't paid for a meal in ten years? He'll return to Dallas, unless the Cards pay him foolish money.
