He's talked to Miami, he knows what he's getting into there because George Edwards is their LB coach.

So the only logical thing to me that could be holding up his signing seems to be a contract.
Yet in another article you posted subsequent to this, they state that the Giants have a conflict within their organization (front office v. coaching staff) and that they aren't sure if he's the right fit or how much they can afford. Why do we presume that all of these clubs have made their offers to Lavar? Is it possible the holdup is on their end, not Lavar's?

And I guess I still don't understand what the problem is here? He's seeing who is going to give him the best deal? Ok, is that different than any other player in free agency? Is he the first player to take his time finding both 1. the right fit, and 2. the best contract? Is there something wrong with that? The only other time he had a chance to test the market, he forewent that opportunity to sign a long-term contract with the Skins. He could have waited and tested free agency, but didn't, regardless of whether he could have gotten more money from another team or not.

I didn't say anything is wrong with him looking for the best deal. Of course there's nothing wrong with that, I was just pointing out that money is one of his deciding factors. Somebody said LaVar isn't about the money... I was just pointing out stories that contradict that statement.

Ok, I'm good with that. I have no doubt money is a factor, I just don't think that fact supports the hater comments out there (not by you) that seem to suggest that money is the ONLY factor and that money was always the only factor and that Lavar has never cared about anything but the money.........simply because he's trying to get the best deal he can now.

You still think he's not about the money??

Everybody is about the money. Whoever says they're not is lieing.

All players want to get paid, no doubt. I had just not heard how much he was asking for. Hey Moulds old ass is asking for 10 mil, and so is Law. No way either one of those guys get it either.

Re: latest on LaVar

It's a shame the way things worked out with LaVar. I couldn't believe the contract they gave him that started this whole mess off. I figured it would end badly when they said 8 years 88 mil or whatever it was.

I think the thing that gets so many people riled up about LA is that it seems like it should have been possible for a deal to be worked out moneywise that would have allowed him to stay here -and- not cause cap problems now or in the future. That is, assuming he really did care about this team.
