Not that I know of, hell I havent even heard anyone that is intersested in him. I guess the dolphins were, but that way before FA even started, and since they just signed W. Allen, I doubt that Law will want to go there and be a #2 or #3 guy, or even if the fins can afford him...

law said he'd also be willing to play FS. I think money is his main concern and, of course, anyone willing to pay him is going to want him starting.

What would three 6th round picks be worth? A third? I doubt it.

Of course not, I'm not talking about a huge trade up, but they'll probably do something like package 2 6th rounders for a 5th, or a 5th and a 6th for a 4th.

Re: Redskins Notes (3/22)

but with the talent depth i really cant see them doing that. why not just ttake a chance on the later round players and get a multitude of them?

all depends on who's out there, who they're targeting, etc.

draft pick trade value chart:
http://www.thehuddlereport.com/Nicke...valuechart.htm
-not definitive for all trades, but it is a good idea of general pick value.

NFL draft order:
http://nfl.com/draft/story/9137410
-there are 3 teams at 10-6 and they pick 20, 21, and 22nd in every round. We start with the 22nd pick, because we had the hardest strength of schedule, but every round teams with even records cycle. for example, we're pick 22 in the 3rd, but in the 2nd we cycle up to pick 21, then in the 3rd we cycle up again to pick 20. In the 4th, we go back to the bottom of the 10-6 teams and pick 22nd again.

without comp picks included we have picks 53, 149, 164, 180, 187, and 214.

Projected comp picks:
http://www.kffl.com/forums/showthrea...ght=COMP+PICKS
-this guy is really good and comp picks have to be factored into trade value. Even though comp picks cannot be traded, they lower the value of EVERY tradeable pick in and below the 4th round.

round 1 -> 32 picks (0 comp) (1-32)
round 2 -> 32 picks (0 comp) (32-64)
round 3 -> 33 picks (1 comp) (65-97)
round 4 -> 37 picks (5 comp) (98-134)
round 5 -> 38 picks (6 comp) (135-172)
round 6 -> 36 picks (4 comp) (173-208)
round 7 -> 48 picks (16 comp) (209-256)

we have: (left most number is trade value, followed by overall draft position)
VAL, OVR, pick info
370., 053, rnd 2 pick 21
30.4, 155, rnd 5 pick 21
22.0, 176, rnd 6 pick 4 (jets, ramsey)
15.6, 192, rnd 6 pick 20
12.8, 199, rnd 6 pick 27 (panthers, gardner)
2.40, 230, rnd 7 pick 22
N/A , 249, rnd 7 pick 41 (of 48) (comp)

totalled up that's 453.2 for everything, or 83.2 for our day 2 picks.

that's enough to trade everything to move up 8 spots to pick #45or trade the 3 6s for a 4th rounder, near pick 19.

It's probably better to just sit pat and take whoever is available and hope with 6 low picks 1 turns out to be a winner.

Re: Redskins Notes (3/22)

i agree. just make a bunch of selections because theres definitely no guarantee that a 4th/5th rounder would work out any better.

Redskins | Team will visit with K. Wright
Tue, 21 Mar 2006 22:35:22 -0800
David Elfin, of the Washington Times, reports the Washington Redskins will visit with free agent CB Kenny Wright (Jaguars) Wednesday, March 22.

so if we want to sign lloyd (1.5-2mill), 3 backups and a #2 with some low picks, someone is probably going to have to restructure.

K Wright is 6'1" and a good tackling CB. not a blazer, but he'd be a good #3.
Caught a lot of Jags games last year. Everyone talks about how much they needed a second corner, but Kenny Wright was shutdown at times. Very underrated, would be satisfied with a nickel role and would come cheap. Very plausible option

he does fit the description of a GW (tall, tackling) CB.
