Re: Robert Johnson at TE

Won't the depth be Fauria and Johnson at TE and Cooley at H-Back? Who else have we got for the 3rd TE slot?

He should get playing time in goalline - 275 lbs!

I don't think Al Saunders will use a H-Back in his system. Cooley will be the starting TE if that is how it goes.

I'm sure he will keep the H around. We don't have a true fullback, and even with our logjam at WR, I don't think our base package will be 3 WR.

This is a good point, but speculation at this point. Will be interesting to see just how the offense is designed, will it be Gibbs' w/Saunders tweaking & calling plays, or a total Saunders overhaul?
Johnson is a solid blocker, I think he stands a good chance at making the roster as the 2nd TE, but that depends if we draft someone.

Gibbs' system is time tested, so there's no reason to believe Saunders will get rid of it. It will just be him tweaking the existing offense, just like Bill Musgrave did last year (shotgun), and Saunders will call the plays.
