Not at all. dmek's claim was that the rich and famous do not do jail time. That would come as news to Jamal Lewis who most certainly did time and for a less serious crime than Taylor is charged with.

If Taylor is found guilty, he won't avoid jail time just because he's rich and famous.

Jamal probably could have gotten off on that but I think the fact that he participated in a drug deal over the phone and had the opportunity to put the incident behind him without missing any of the season, he chose to cut his losses.
