I don't understand why the Texans did not address the O-line in Free Agency by signing one or even two proven seasoned veterans like Hutchinson from Seattle for example. That way they could have filled in some of the weaker spots late in the draft where normally some good linemen can be found. With the veterans acquired in FA, they could have provided valuable leadership to current linemen and developed the young kids into one heck of a line and still held onto that #1 pick.

As it stands, they signed only one veteran lineman (Flanagan) at ther center position. But the coach is Gary Kubiak who knows what it takes to build a solid offensive line coming from Denver after ten years. I guess he just sees something no one else sees in existing personnel there and feels most of the problem has to do with coaching.

Capers was a defensive minded coach, and never could field an "offensive juggernaut". I wish them luck none the less.
