I don't know about that. I think a few Warpath posters (or former posters in the case of joetheismanfan) could qualify as the densest thing on earth. Certainly, we have a few in the top 10.

Re: F... gas prices

I thought Bush & Chenney drove up the gas prices because they were big oil guys. So why is gas now at $3.00?

Re: F... gas prices

A couple weeks ago I was paying 3 bucks for a gallon of gas. Stopped at my local gas station yesterday as me and co. were leaving for the Skins game and noticed it was 3.30. WTF?

Yeah it's creeping up again. But it's not like it went down that far any way.

Re: F... gas prices

Well no need to start a new thread so. F*ck Gas prices. Funny now that Bush and Chenney are gone the left is pretty quiet about the sharp rise in gas prices. I filled up yesterday and it cost $78.00. I'm sure this will cut down on how much I use my boat this year and not many free rides for friends. We will all have to chip in on gas.

Re: F... gas prices

bring back the good old days. my first gallon of gas was $0.30, my how times have changed.

Fortunately I don't have to do much driving anymore, sometimes thirty miles a week. When I burn the first quarter tank I fill up again.

Re: F... gas prices

I think part of the problem is that we all got spoiled with historically cheap gas prices inthe 90's. Cars built in the 90s took advantage of that and now were paying for it. I filled up at lunch for 3.65 (Kroger Glen Allen), which is a ridiculous price. 2.50 -2.85 should be the norm now-a-dayz.

^ I honestly think it is just all a game that the rich and oil companies play with us. I honestly don't even cry about it anymore not worth the effort just another thing I can't control.

Lol every year on the news without fail:

winter - "gas prices are expected to go up as demand is increasing for home heating as teperatures drop across the country"

summer- "gas prices are expected to go up b/c of demand as travelers fill up for road trips vacation plans...."

Its 4.16 for premium at my cheap gas spot in Baltimore. Its about 4.35 for premium in silver spring right now.

Insane, im spending 16 bucks a day to go to work assuming a low-ball estimate of me getting 22.5 mpg on 90 miles round trip.

Re: F... gas prices

You get what you pay for...in this case the ability to independently drive to where you want to go and enjoy your freedom. If the price isn't to your liking perhaps it's time for you to lend strong support for better public transportation?

I know the word "public" is scary to some of you but the benefits to your pockets outweigh your disdain for "big" government.

Public transportation will not work in our area because its to spread out. Now if I lived in DC and when I vist DC its great. I don't have a problem with public transportation were it makes sense but some areas try to fit a square peg in a round hole.

Re: F... gas prices

public transit in dc is a joke, nothing ever works and it cost so much might as well be comfortable and drive yourself

here in woodbridge the wawa at miniieville and caton hill has gas at $3.77 which is about what gas is down here, it's $3.82 at the exxon at minnieville and old bridge. i was in springfield today and the gas at the exxon at rolling rd and braddock rd is $4.05 and thats f-ing retarded. i don't understand how gas could be $.28 different with about 10 miles of each other. f-ing oil companies, there needs to be some sort of gudieline as to where the gas prices should be. there is no reason at all that gas prices should have that big of a difference when they are that close to each other.

and although i like the idea of a hybrid i think right now is the worst possible time to buy one. you are most likely going to pay $2-3k more than you should for the car. and even though you will be saving 20 to 30 at the pump it's gonna take a lot of fill ups to make it worth while.
