Less than a year ago people (I won't name names) on this board were still saying that this guy was going to be our #2 or 3 receiver.

And?.........

Given our WR corp last year I think that was a pretty reasonable assumption. Heading into last season I certainly thought he was going to break out (3rd year is often magical for WRs in the NFL). I'm now convinced that he simply can't play in this league, but last year we had Patten, Jacobs and Thrash behind Moss.......of course you'd think he'd be our 2 or 3.

Actually, PRIOR to last year, there probably was some talk of him stepping into the number 1 role if Moss got injured or couldn't hack it as the No. 1. Let's face it, going into last year, the WR corp was a HUGE question mark. Fortunately, Moss turned in a phenomenal year.
