. Personally, I think Reed might be the best strong safety in the league right now. He and Taylor in the same backfield would force teams to forget about the slot position, carry 12 tight ends, and mash every downfield pass to within 5 yards of the sideline. THAT would be worth seeing.

Re: What move would you have not made if you were GM?
I'm shocked that folks really believe that Randle El or Lloyd has peaked. I mentioned this somewhere else, but don't believe the hype on Randle El's #s. Put it like this, he's 27 and has played in a "run the ball and play defense" system his entire career. I know we want the Skins to sign Pro Bowlers and stars, but after the way Santana played last year is there any reason to doubt Lloyd and Randle El before they've even put on pads?
As for Archuleta, his low interceptions are probably due to him playing at the line of scrimmage so much. I've got him making the 2nd biggest impact, only because if Carter can give us some push off the edge then our linebackers will become even more effective. |

Ok, seriously.. I think Archuleta was a want signing moreso than a need signing. Hopefully the fact that he is playing more near the line will limit his lack of range and coverage skills. To the old-schoolers out there, remember, GW defense is patterned after the '85 Bears 4-6 defense. Gary Fencick was their 'Archuleta' and dude was a beast but he was not great in coverage. He played primarily near the line, blitzing the QB and blowing up RB out of the backfield. Love the Lloyd and Randle-El moves, excited about the Carter move. 2 moves I wish we had made, David Thornton and Ryan Longwell.

![]() I hope you didn't mean that like you wrote it. He may be the only good white saftey in the NFL now, but you can be sure there will be more.

And why should the Redskins pay the richest contracts in the league for players and assistant coaches? Lets just have the owner of the most valuable most profitable franchise in all of sports pocket the change for himself. Money is what the Redskins have. We have an owner who uses it to our advantage. |

To be honest, I don't really care since he's not in Burgundy and Gold. I just think the comments about AA being white were irrelevant and out of line. Just as a Rush Limbaugh statement about McNabb would equally be out of line and plain dumb. |

I have no quarrel with any of this year's moves. If I were GM, I would have tried a lot harder to keep Antonio Pierce on our roster last year.
