OK you guys need to explain this to me .You just gave the answer to the question why people don't like him,why do you like him ,Gibbs makes all the calls if not him Danny so why Vinny?

My thoughts exactly. Preach on brother, preach on.

Just as when Snyder first got here, Vinny also had a new learning curve working with the new owner, new team, etc.

Who the H-E-double hockey sticks cares how much money he's making?? It doesn't count against the cap, so why would we care as fans whether or not he's a bargain for Dan Snyder?

You did get one part right though, he is a scout. He works well with Gibbs; he and his department collect and package information on players to provide to Gibbs. Then Gibbs (or Gregg Williams) makes the call on which players to pursue.

He doesn't have any decision making responsibilities. Those duties fall to Gibbs. But he works well with Gibbs and acts as support; and as long as Gibbs has been making the moves he has for the last two years, I don't see why we'd want to change a thing about the front office structure.

In the end he might be overpaid, but I'm not sure why we should care about that.

Just something to bitch about.

Who isn't overpaid in the sports and entertainment industry anyway??

Gibbs makes $5M a year to coach a football team, that's insane.

Gibbs and Cerrato each get a vote, Danny is the tie breaker, according to this article. Same way Spurriers' regime was setup.

Yeah that's what they say in the press so Vinny C can save some face and not seem like the subordinate. Gibbs is in total control.

I'll give you a source

"Vinny Cerrato: The coach has the final say. We'll go through the whole process. We'll put everybody in an order. Then it will come down to the coach saying this is what I need or this is what I don't need.

Dan takes no say so in the player moves. He gives it all to Coach Gibbs. We all work together to come up with an answer and then the coach makes the final call. Like he says, somebody has to make the final call. He does."

Even without a source it doesn't take a genius to see Gibbs is running the show.

I think the general rule of thumb when complaining on the internet is that "Anyone who makes more money than me is overpaid."

There's a large segment of society that hates to see other people make more money than they do, and most of them appear to have internet access.
