70$mill on DEs is somehow different from $107mill on unproven WRs?

moss worked out, how about patten, El, and lloyd (who i'm projecting to get another 30mill deal)? knocking mario as unproven and then calling davis unstoppable is kinda ironic

I never called him unstoppable, for one. I said he impressed me and I think he's worthy of the top pick, if you're a team that needs a DE. Like, for example, the Texans. I think Washington addressed their DE issues already.

That said, he is unproven. He hasn't done anything in the NFL yet, he could get shut down for all anyone knows. I'd be willing to bet that he won't, but I've been wrong before.

However, it's my opinion that we should go after a TE because the O still needs to catch up to the D. Also, I don't ever remember talking about being comfortable with the money we spent on our WR's.

no, but your arguement against mario was that we already spent money on a DE, however, we've spent a lot more on pass catchers and that's what you want, so its a really bad point to persuade people away from mario with.
