Well, where has Tomlinson taken the Chargers? Don't get me wrong, he's probably the best running back in the league right now, but that right there tells you that running backs are usually not the players that singlehandedly guide a team to the promised land.

Portis didnt do it for us. It takes a good line to make a good running bak great. ie Emmit Smith.
