Do you think Lavar is Okay.....
Because he sure does. He had this to say when asked why he was benched so frequently at the end of the season....
"I..I..I just wasn't good enough to play. They weren't playing me because I was not good enough to play at the time." "How do you feel about that assesment?" "Well, We'll see when we see them, and any other team........I think the answer will be very clear if I was good enough to play" see the rest at http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/index ....... |

Not that I did not love him when he was here but, I think laVar may have a little bit of a bipolar problem.

Actually, my buddy watched an interview with LaVar recently and he had nothing but good things to say about the Redskins. I wish him well, he was by far my favorite player.

Sorry, but I just don't see what's wrong with his statement.

Re: Do you think Lavar is Okay.....
Well, I suppose his comments can be interpreted in different ways. I just think I've heard a lot worse out of other players that leave teams. If he wanted to really take a shot at the coaches, why not just say it point blank: "they didn't know how to use me", or "they had it in for me from the beginning", or "they never gave me a fair shot"? I mean, he started out saying he wasn't good enough. How is he supposed to answer that follow-up question then? "Yah, I agree with them, I really sucked". I kinda expect any player on a new team to want to prove something to their old team. I think we find that just about anywhere. But he's not really ripping the team or the organization. Overall, for as much publicity as this breakup got, I'd say both sides parted professionally. But that's just my opinion, and I'm admittedly still a big Lavar fan.

Re: Do you think Lavar is Okay.....
No body but LaVar and organization know why he didn't play until halfway through the season, its unfair for any of us to say why this and why that. The fact is he is with the G-men now, and desperately wants to prove all his critics wrong about not being a force at LB in the NFL. That is every athlete in any sport around the world. If anyone questions their ability, they go out and work extra hard to prove people wrong. In this case, he gets to prove it twice a year, which is what he wanted from the get go. I admire his competativeness , and heart to prove people wrong. I do admit being a little worried about him being extra motivated playing us. He has dropped almost 20 lbs and is getting back to his original playing weight before the injury. I think any athlete with a heart and pulse would be motivated to play their old team. I for one can not weight to see how this plays out. I am a Redskin fan for life, and this just makes the rivalry that much more exciting.
