The original The Shining movie had a very pivotal character who was black. In the beginning he explains what "the Shining" is and at the end of the movie he travels to the hotel in a Snowcat to resuce the boy and his mom. I think he dies but at least momma and son have an escape vehicle.

Why the white man gonna try and correct the black man? See thats why the white man has kept the black man down, busy correcting us.
